For over three decades, Quark Expeditions has been the worldwide leader in polar adventure travel. In that time, we’ve built the industry’s most experienced team, achieved the longest list of polar firsts, and escorted the most guests to the Polar Regions.
Now, with the addition of a ground-breaking new expedition ship to our fleet in 2020, Quark Expeditions is set to deliver an exciting new array of polar experiences, allowing guests from all over the world to see things few others have seen and do things few others have done, all in exceptional comfort and safety.
Optimized fuel, water, provisioning and waste-handling systems have enable a best-in-class, 70-day operational range that will allow us to open up a completely new set of experiences - from exploring new, never-before-seen landing sites to the design of unprecedented new itineraries.
Unique to its class, the ship will feature two helicopters with two operable helidecks for spectacular flightseeing, access to new destinations accessible only by air, and opportunities to participate in unique activities like heli-skiing and heli-hiking.
An Internal Zodiac hangar will quickly and safely deploy the ship’s twenty Zodiacs allowing for more spontaneous off-ship operations, and more intimate guest-wildlife engagement. So when a pod of whales appears, guests can get off the ship, into Zodiacs, engaging with them, faster and more often than ever before.
State-of-the-art technology contributes to more rewarding guest experiences; high-definition, large-screen projectors in the theater help bring lectures from industry-leading thought leaders to life; enhanced connectivity allows guests to share ‘wow moments’ with loved ones; Silent-E notation and dynamic positioning allow respectful engagement with wildlife; and 13 redundant critical systems ensure a deep sense of safety.
Spacious passenger cabins and vibrant public spaces including a variety of restaurants, library, theater, spa and fitness facilities all feature floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to relax and recharge for their next adventure, while staying connected to the breathtaking polar landscapes outside.
