For almost 30 years, Quark Expeditions has been the leader in polar adventures; with a long series of polar milestones, from the first ever tourist transit of the Arctic’s Northeast Passage to the first commercial passenger circumnavigation of Antarctica.
Now, with the announcement of a groundbreaking new expedition ship launching in 2020, Quark Expeditions is set to pioneer a whole new array of itineraries and take guests further, faster and safer into the polar regions than ever before.
This ship will feature optimized fuel, water, provisioning and waste handling systems that will enable an incredible 70-day operational range.
Unique to its class, the ship will feature helicopters launched from two simultaneously operable helidecks for spectacular heli-skiing, flightseeing and to reach destinations only accessible by air.
An internal Zodiac hangar will quickly and safely deploy the ship’s twenty Zodiacs to maximize the off-ship experience, getting passengers off
the ship and into nature faster and more often.
Quark Expeditions will continue to set the standard for safety with Quark Academy-certified expedition staff and a wide array of groundbreaking safety features including thirteen fully redundant critical systems.
Guests will relax in spacious cabins, recharge at modern spa and fitness facilities and refuel at gourmet restaurants.
